Providence is proud to introduce Wendy Miller, MSN, MHA, RN, as the new Emergency Services Director. Wendy has more than 28 years of nursing emergency and intensive care experience. Her most recent role has been to serve as an interim Nurse Manager/Director at several hospitals across the US. She is an experienced Emergency Department/Intensive Care nurse and manager and has also held the position of CEO for a non-healthcare business.
Wendy obtained her Master of Healthcare Administration and Master of Science in Nursing from Phoenix University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Saint Louis University.
Julianna Rieschick, RN, MSN, NEA-BC, Chief Nursing Officer, said, “With extensive experience in emergency care, Wendy has a wealth of knowledge and skills that make her well equipped to collaborate with staff to heighten care provided in the Providence Emergency Room.” She added, “We look forward to her new ideas for efficiency and compassionate care as we provide expert care close to home to the residents in this area.”
Wendy enjoys the often-fast paced environment in Emergency care and says it takes skilled and dedicated staff to take care of patients in critical situations. She said,” I am enjoying getting to know staff and look forward to implementing processes to enhance the patient experience in the Providence Emergency Room.
