Providence Medical Center and the YMCA of Greater Kansas City are proud to present the second annual Rock, Roll & Run Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at the Providence Medical Center Amphitheater, 633 N. 130th St., Bonner Springs, Kan. Proceeds benefit the Providence YMCA/Ball Family Center’s Cancer Survivorship program, as well as the YMCA scholarship program.
The family-friendly activities begin Saturday, Aug. 26 at the Providence Medical Center Amphitheatre with a 5K walk/run though Wyandotte Park at 8 a.m., followed by a free Kids Run and Health Fair.
Runners are encouraged to “dress” like their favorite Rock and Roll stars. Tribute stars, Elvis 2, Elton John, Alice Cooper, Tina Turner and Bucket Head will be entertaining during the run. Each registered runner will receive two free tickets to the Providence Amphitheater ($50 value).

Health screenings and information will be available for: blood pressure, breast cancer awareness information, body fat,/bmi, health and weight checks) Leg Vein Checks (Peripheral Artery Disease), stress measurement and relaxation information for expecting moms, child seat safety information, smoking cessation and healthy nutrition information, hands only CPR information, Trauma and Dias aster action information, and much more.
Other activities include: a FREE kids run at 9:30 a.m.; inflated obstacle course for the kids, Zumba before the kids run, Mascots (Sizzle and Happy Heart) Bonner Springs police/firetruck, face painting, Kansas City Kansas Community Policing Show Car, KCKFD Safety House, and other fun activities.
