Courtney Simanowitz, NRP has been named the new Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Liaison for Providence Medical Center and Saint John HospitalSimanowitz Courtney web.

In her new role Courtney will serve as a liaison between the hospitals and area Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers. Courtney will advocate services provided by Providence and Saint John with private, local, regional, and state EMS agencies and help drive service line growth as well as improve operations in terms of quality and processes. She will help educate local EMS teams about services at the hospitals. She will also identify local EMS teams that qualify for the hospitals’ Make a Difference designation.

Courtney previously was a paramedic for both Saint John Hospital and Leavenworth County EMS. She has an Associate of Applied Science degree in Emergency Medical Science from Johnson County Community College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Biology from Cleveland University.

Courtney is married to Jacob DeMaranville, a Lenexa firefighter. They live in northern Leavenworth County.
