Loren Wilson has been named the new regional IT Manager for Prime MOKAN region including Providence Medical Center, Saint John Hospital, St. Joseph Medical Center and St. Mary’s Medical Center. He comes to Prime from Kansas State University in Manhattan, where he was an IT director the past 20 years.
Loren will be working with Chad Pease and responsible for managing daily operations of the information services needs for the four hospitals and their associated clinics. One of his first duties will be working on the upcoming Epic implementations.
“I want to help people as much as I can,” said Loren. “I want to ensure our systems are working properly so we can all make a difference in the lives of our patients.”
Loren has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Kansas Wesleyan University and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Kansas State University.
In addition to a strong IT background, Loren is a self-published writer. His genre of choice is “cozy” or murder mysteries. He also enjoys music and is a past member of the Manhattan First United Methodist Church choir.
In his spare time, he enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with his four children and two grandchildren. He says he has a tie to the Kansas City, Kansas community as two of his children were born at the former Bethany Medical Center.
