Providence Names New Human Resources Manager

77Picking a good doctor for your family is important. And for parents Ashley and Jordan Horsley, they couldn’t agree more. They recently followed David W. Stoneking, D.O., FACOG, a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist, from their home in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, to Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., so that their second son could be delivered by Dr. Stoneking.

“When we learned that Dr. Stoneking was leaving Florida to begin practicing in Kansas City, we were sad because he was such a good doctor whom we trusted,” said Ashley Horsley. “We decided we didn’t want anyone else delivering our new son, and planned so we could be in Kansas City for care prior and during our son’s birth.

“Dr. Stoneking is so easy to trust and listens to our concerns,” she added. “We really have developed a close connection with him and didn’t want anyone else delivering our new baby.”

Sullivan Horsley was born Saturday, Oct. 28 at the Providence Medical Center maternity unit. He joins the family with his big brother, Lachlan, who was born 14 months prior on September 14, 2016. Lachlan was also delivered by Dr. Stoneking.

“I am honored to have had the privilege of taking care of this family and delivering little Sullivan at Providence,” said Dr. Stoneking. “I look forward to receiving updates on how the family is doing in the future.”

Dr. David Stoneking specializes in obstetrics; gynecology; wellness exams; gynecology; colposcopies; prenatal care; gynecologic cancer screenings; and minimally invasive surgeries.

He received his medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences College, Kansas City, Mo. After graduating he went on to complete his residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.

Dr. Stoneking is passionate about delivering babies and taking care of pregnant moms and their families. He also has a special interest in Ovarian Cancer Awareness.
