Bess Bonewits is the new Director of Business Development and Marketing for Providence Medical Center and Saint John Hospital.
Bess will be leading strategic planning efforts, marketing plans and implementation, as well as building internal and external relationships. She will be the new public information officer for the hospitals and will also oversee the team members in Physician Relations, Print Shop, and the Gift Shop.
Bess joins us from serving as Regional Director of Operations and Development Manager for Intermountain Health clinics, (Duchesne and St. Vincent, and Marian Dental Clinics formerly owned by SCL Healthcare.) She is familiar with organizations and demographics in both Wyandotte and Leavenworth Counties with her past role.
Bess has an undergraduate degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Strategic Communications from the University of Kansas. She holds special certifications from the Kansas Leadership Center, including “Equip to Lead”; “Lead for Change”; and Your Leadership Edge”. She is also a Registered ‘Scrum Master’, helping to influence processes of planning, reviewing, and adapting in the workplace.
Bess said, “I’m thrilled to be starting this new chapter in my career. I’m looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that I had, and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together. “She and her family have called Leavenworth home for almost 20 years. They enjoy soccer games, hiking, family game and movie nights.
