Providence to Celebrate Top Honors and Beginning of 100 Year Anniversary

Providence Medical Center, located at 8929 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kansas, has a lot to celebrate in 2020 and on Feb. 25.

  • On Tuesday, Feb. 25th, the big “100” provided by Alpha Lit KC will be in the main lobby of the hospital from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Staff, visitors and patients are invited to have their picture taken with the big “100 in honor of the hospital’s 100th Anniversary.
  • From 4 to 6 p.m., hospital and community leaders will be celebrating recent, national awards Providence has received, including the CMS 5 star hospital designation as well as Healthgrades 2020 America’s 250 Best Hospitals Award™. A ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. in the Main Lobby.
  • Special guest, Donnelly College President Monsignor Swetland, will address the crowd and give some insight between the two organizations. (Providence’s original location in 1920 near 18th and Tauromee, is where Donnelly College is located now). Providence will be matching up to $2,500 in donations at the event to help Donnelly College’s Capital campaign to transform their college campus.
