Andrew Patterson, MHA, has been named Regional Director of Business Development and Marketing for the MOKAN Prime Healthcare hospitals, including Providence Medical Center, Saint John Hospital, St. Joseph Medical Center and St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Andrew joins Prime Healthcare with 26 plus years of healthcare experience. He most recently served as a Senior Director for the Huron Consulting Group, where he was a leader in their Healthcare Performance Improvement Practice, focusing on strategic planning and clinic service line optimization for hospitals and healthcare systems across the country. Andrew was previously the Executive Director of Planning & Program Development at the University of Kansas Health System for seven years. Earlier in his career Andrew spent a dozen years as the Vice President of Planning and Development for the Child Health Corporation of America (now the Children’s Hospital Association) and as a planning consultant with Arthur Andersen LLP.
With a broad background in identifying clinical service line opportunities and leading organizational strategic planning initiatives, Patterson knows how to build and manage teams to deliver on aggressive goals. “I believe there is a unique niche in the Kansas City metropolitan area for our four Prime community hospitals,” said Patterson. He added, “Our end goals are to provide excellent clinical care, treat patients like family and simplify the healthcare delivery process.”
Patterson has a Master of Health Administration degree from Saint Louis University and a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Missouri Southern State University. He has completed Lean Six Sigma Training and is a member of the ACHE – American College of Healthcare Executives.
When not at work, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife Callie and their three grown sons on a country property in the Louisburg area.
